Beneficio San Vicente
Location: Santa Barbara, Honduras
Beneficio San Vicente has been producing coffee for 40 years now. It’s technically inside of a national park and it experiences a unique microclimate due to Yojoa Lake and the 2774 meters high Santa Barbara mountain.
There are many rural, smallholder farms in this area utilizing shade growing to protect their coffee. Above the coffees grow guava and pine in most cases, no doubt adding to the biodiversity and the cup profile we experience in this coffee.
